Lot’s Going On…

Okay, first off, as you can tell, the matthewcory.com domain is back.  Had some issues with it, but those should all be resolved now.

Second, and BIG news here, Like Glass has been picked up by Vanilla Heart Publishing!  Big thanks to Mary Quast, a fellow VHP author (and I can say “fellow” now :) ) for introducing me to them, and to Kimberlee Williams, the managing editor there for accepting the novel.  Thank you both!

Last, but most certainly not least: Shattered is finished.  Well, the rough draft is anyways.  Here’s what I said about it on today’s post at http://chocolatefordogs.com/:

If you don’t already know, Shattered is the sequel to Like Glass, and it picks up the story of our “hero”, Rob, a few months after Like Glass ends. Without going into too many details (because they’d not only spoil Shattered, but possibly Like Glass as well), Rob takes back to music with much more passion this time around. Things don’t go that great though, as he’s forced to deal with fun stuff like depression, suicide, and the death of a close friend.

It’s currently being reviewed by a few early readers, but it’s tentatively scheduled for release in fall of 2009.  Trust me, I’ll keep you posted with what’s going on with it as events warrant.

That about sums up what’s going on at the moment; I need to get back to the “day job” thing and pretend to work for a while ;)   Catch you on the flip side.
